2004, inkjet on vinyl

The idea is that of trying to make a mapping, thematic and intentionally partial, of the ephemeral and mutable structure of the World Wide Web. The selection of the home pages constituting the artwork corresponds to the sites forming the top ten of the words most frequently asked by Google users during the year 2003 in the different nations: USA, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Spain, United Kingdom. Also in this case, the web pages, stripped from logos, textual and iconic contents, are freely used as modules to build a digital scenario, with the intention of making clearly perceivable – through the metaphor of the landscape – the new consciential, technological and anthropological borders within which the entire Western World moves, with great or little consciousness of the single beings.
